Rev. William Smith

Pastor William Smith (Pastor Bill) has served in pastoral ministry for twenty-four years. He is currently the sole pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, San Diego, CA. He is ordained through the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, and he has a passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people in all walks of life.

Pastor Bill has received theological training in several educational environments, including Southern California Seminary, where he received both master’s and doctoral education in clinical psychology. In addition to pastoral ministry, he works with people needing psychological interventions in the behavioral health profession.

Pastor Bill believes that every human being has great God-given value and a deep need for personal relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. He teaches that, “where God is at center in our lives, we are whole, and our lives are rightly ordered.” Therefore, the Word of God, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, formed daily through participation in a Christ centered church community, is the best life we can live.

Diane Fore
President of the Church Council 

Diane brings more than 25 years of professional experience in healthcare, having served at Sharp Hospital, Alvarado Hospital, and Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group. In her roles overseeing management, marketing, and physician and public relations, she developed strong leadership and communication skills that now bless our church community.

Diane is devoted to serving with compassion, integrity, and a heart for God’s work. She is grateful for the opportunity to support the church’s mission and to help guide our community in faith and fellowship.

Tommy Lutz

Tommy has been a dedicated board member for more than ten years. With a strong background in real estate, he oversees the management of the church’s properties and facilities. His practical expertise, steady leadership, and commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment are a true blessing to the GSLC community.

George Hurst

George is a retired Family Law Attorney whose life has been shaped by a deep commitment to service. He has been a long-standing board member at Sharp Grossmont Hospital and has contributed his wisdom and experience to GSLC for more than ten years as a member of the Church Council.

A lifelong member of our church community, George has attended GSLC since his youth. His steady leadership, compassionate spirit, and devotion to God’s work continue to bless our congregation.

Sandi Printice

Sandi is a devoted member of GSLC and serves faithfully in multiple roles within the church’s administrative office, including bookkeeping and general support. Her reliability and dedication are a true blessing to our congregation.
She has been a valued member of the Church Council for more than seven years, bringing her experience, steady leadership, and a heart for service to the mission of GSLC.
